Douglas M. Evans, a former founding partner with Kroll, McNamara, Evans & Delehanty, LLP, focuses his practice in commercial and business litigation, representing clients in business, financial and real estate disputes in both state and federal courts. Doug concentrates his practice in representing specialty finance companies in connection with actions to approve structured settlement transfers and state lottery assignments, and related litigation. Doug has extensive experience litigating a wide variety of contract, business tort, financial landlord/tenant, foreclosure, collections and contested bankruptcy cases. Doug also served as a liquidating trustee in connection with a large Chapter 11 bankruptcy case. Doug regularly represents clients in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire, and is admitted to the United States District Courts for the District of Connecticut and the District of Massachusetts and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Doug graduated from Connecticut College, New London, Connecticut, with a Bachelor of Arts 1985, and graduated from Suffolk University Law School, Boston, Massachusetts, cum laude, in 1989. Doug received his training and experience at Schatz & Schatz, Ribicoff & Kotkin, in Hartford, where he practiced for six years in the litigation department. Doug was a founding member of Kroll, McNamara, Evans & Delehanty, LLP, where he practiced for more than 27 years and served as chair of the litigation practice group.
